The Orthodox Anglican Church

The Orthodox Anglican Communion is aggressively seeking to identify men who sense a divine Call from our Lord to serve in the ministry of His Church. We are particularly interested to hear from potential postulants in the United States, to serve in the Communion's jurisdiction in the USA, The Orthodox Anglican Church. Many of our postulants for Holy Orders are men in mid-career or nearing retirement. Many of these men have experienced a divine Call to the ministry from their childhood but have been unable to respond until now. Others have been applicants in other, larger, "main-line" churches, but have been rejected due to their orthodox views and convictions. Other men have been ordained, but have become orphaned by their bishops. Still others are Protestant ministers seeking Holy Orders in a Catholic body. If you are interested in exploring the opportunities to serve the Lord in our Church, please download the Inquirer's documents (below), and e-mail Ms. Brenda Proctor, Administrative Assistant to Archbishop McLaughlin. Prospective postulants should also contact St. Andrew's Theological College and Seminary if they are in need of theological training.

The Orthodox Anglican Church, incorporated in 1964, is the United States member of the world-wide Orthodox Anglican Communion. The Church is committed to the Biblical world view contained in the Holy Scriptures, confessed in the three ancient creeds of the Church (the Apostles', Nicene, and Athanasian Creeds), experienced in the Sacraments, and practiced through the use of orthodox editions of the Book of Common Prayer. Our Apostolic Succession is derived through and shared with the Anglican Communion, the Old Catholic Union of Utrecht, and the Orthodox Church. The Orthodox Anglican Church is a member of the National Conference on Ministry to the Armed Forces. Archbishop Scott E. McLaughlin is the Presiding Bishop. Postulants for Holy Orders in the United States receive their education and training at Saint Andrew's Theological College and Seminary.

We have returned to the Apostles and old Catholic fathers. We have planted no new religion, but only have preserved the old that was undoubtedly founded and used by the Apostles of Christ and other holy Fathers of the Primitive Church....
